Bahamas uses explosion-proof distribution box specifications

Explosion-proof distribution boxes for industrial use in the Bahamas feature flameproof enclosures, modular designs, and support for voltages up to 690V AC with comprehensive safety and control options.

Key Specifications

Enclosure and ProtectionFlameproof enclosures compliant with Ex d, Ex e, and Ex tb standards, suitable for hazardous zones (Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21, Zone 22) and Class I Division 1 environments. Materials include copper-free aluminum alloy, GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic), 304/316L stainless steel, and Q235 steel, with powder-coated or corrosion-resistant finishes. Specialized hinge structures prevent damage to flameproof joints, extending service life.

Electrical Ratings

Rated voltage: up to 690V AC, 50/60Hz; DC up to 500V. Rated current: up to 250A, depending on model.

Supports MC

B, MCCB, AC contactors, thermal overload relays, soft starters, and intelligent MCBs for circuit protection.

Modularity and Customization

Modular design allows combination of Ex d compartments for power components and Ex e compartments for indicators and terminals. Cable entries and glands are customizable; DQM-II or DQM-III glands recommended for Ex d compartments. Optional features include photo switches, PLCs, frequency converters, bus bars, resistors, light-operated switches, time controllers, heaters, display screens, and emergency devices.

Rainproof canopies and mounting types can be specified on request. Intelligent and Remote Control FeaturesHRMD91 intelligent distribution boxes support remote monitoring and control via RJ45, RS485, or optical fiber connections. Continuous collection of electrical parameters (voltage, current, power, energy) with overload, leakage, overvoltage, undervoltage protection, and fault alarms.

Compatible with Modbus protocol and can integrate with cloud platforms, PC interfaces, or mobile apps for centralized management.

Applications

Suitable for industrial, petrochemical, medical, food processing, aerospace, and marine environments. Can be used as distribution boxes, switch boxes, control boxes, terminal boxes, or motor starting boxes.

Standards and Compliance

Designed to meet international explosion-proof standards (Ex d IIB+H2, Ex db IIC T6…T4, Ex tb IIIC T80°C…T130°C) ensuring safe operation in hazardous areas. These specifications make these distribution boxes highly adaptable for Bahamas industrial installations, providing safety, modularity, and intelligent control for complex electrical systems.
