Korean Fiber Bragg Grating Strain Measurement Process

This paper gives a short introduction to FBG sensors, points out their special strengths and weaknesses and describes a measuring system which enables strain gages and FBGS to be measured simultaneously, providing all data processing functions originally developed. This paper gives a short introduction to FBG sensors, points out their special strengths and weaknesses and describes a measuring system which enables strain gages and FBGS to be measured simultaneously, providing all data processing functions originally developed. The work is devoted to the consideration of methods for determining the strain of objects using fiber Bragg gratings under a high-frequency vibration or pulsed mechanical action, which is difficult to perform using widespread methods and devices. The methods are based on numerical processing of the. A fiber Bragg grating (FBG) is an optical device that reflects light within a specific wavelength while allowing others to pass through; this is owing to the periodic variations in the refractive index of the fiber core. In this paper we review FBG strain sensors with high focus on the underlying physical principles, the.
